Mr. Aina is the managing consultant of Unique Concepts Ltd, a financial services consulting firm. He has more than 20 years experience in banking, finance, and general management. At various times, he has consulted on change initiatives for a number of clients. He is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (University of Ife) which he left in 1983 and University of Nigeria, Nsukka which he left in 2000 having obtained his Bachelors degree in Economics and Masters of Business Administration degree in Marketing respectively. He has been a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria since 1998 as well as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation since 1994.
Mr. Aina joined a professional firm of Chartered Accountants, Messrs Z.O. Ososanya & co, (one of the 8 medium sized firms in Nigeria) during his National Youth Service period in 1983 for his professional training and was there till 1987. He thereafter joined a professional firm of PriceWaterhouse in January, 1988 and left as Audit Supervisor in December, 1989.
Mr. Aina started his banking career 1990 with Nigerian Intercontinental Merchant Bank Ltd where he worked in Credit and Marketing, International Operations and Treasury and Marketing Services Department where he was deputy head. In 1994, he moved to Posterity Savings and Loans Limited where he served as Group Head, Treasury. In 1998, Mr. Aina joined the United Bank for Africa Plc as senior manager in the Inspectorate Division of the bank. He also at various times worked in retail banking and foreign operations departments of the bank before he moved to FSB International Bank Plc (now Fidelity Bank Plc) in 2001 where he worked as the Deputy Chief Inspector between 2001 and 2002.
Mr. Aina has a vast training experience and has trained and consulted for a number of training and management development institutions including FITC, Money Market Association, Netherwoods Consulting, Vic Lawrence, Drexell Capital, among others. He has also participated in in-plant training sessions for banks such as Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and First City Monument Bank Plc. His core competences are in Treasury, Internal Control, Audit and Inspection, Accounting, Credit and Marketing and International Operations.
